George Floyd’s Memorial Service In Minneapolis, USA

Over a week after George Floyd died of suffocation, he is finally laid to rest. His death prompted a mass protest in some major states from supporters calling for justice. These protests created a massive chaos and distraction across the United States after vandals and opportunists took advantage of the situation using the statewide protests to perform their acts of vandalism and looting.

These vandalism and looting targeted luxury brand stores such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Gucci, Apple Store, Ray Ban, Nordstrom, Alexander McQueen, Jewelry stores as well as Target stores, Macys and more.

George Floyd was 46 years old when he was arrested due to his use of a counterfeit $20 bill to purchase cigarettes on May 25, 2020 in Minnesota, USA. A video was taken by a bystander showing Floyd on the ground facedown and an officer knelt down on his neck for several minutes. Floyd was seen on the video pleading to the officer that he can’t breath but the officer did not remove his knee on his neck. According to the news, suffocation was the cause of Floyd’s death which was a result of the blockage of oxygen supply to his brain from the officer’s knees pressing down to George Floyd’s neck.

This incident caused a major outrage to the black community and supported by other races. Thousands of people across the United States staged protest calling for justice and calling to stop racial discrimination.

George Floyd was already on the ground, faced down and handcuffed. People believed kneeling down on his neck with pressure won’t be necessary at this time.
